"As always seems to be the case, Jamie had no problem going down the waterslides all day until he got onto Duck's double raft going down the slide and it tipped over. Duck's rafts always seems to have tipping problems."
The Fong Camp Diary
Day 5

Dear Cyberparents -

On Friday, the Fong Campers attended their final day of Zoo Camp. They learned more about animals, saw a film called "animal rap," made birdhouses and bird feeders, learned about worms, and got to take home two worms each. After zoo camp we all went on the roller coaster at the zoo and then came home for a french fry snack and another bike ride. We rode down the greenbelt and then along the bay to pick up Jamie at his school. He was very suprised when he walked out the front door and saw eight cousins on bicycles waiting for him. We had Italian ice treats by the bay, threw some rocks into the water, and then biked along the lagoons back to Camp Fong. Back at camp we built a real campfire using Randy's amputated Weber Charcoal barbecue and cooked hot dogs over the open fire.

After dinner we had a sing along led by Uncle Teddy, told jokes, toasted marshmellows and made "s'mores" and had one final "shadow puppet show" before going to sleep. On Saturday morning the campers woke up, had breakfast, rolled up their sleeping bags, packed their luggage, then went for one last bike ride along the bay and lagoons.

Afterwards we all went to the Antioch Waterpark where we met the rest of the parents along with Uncle Joe and Auntie Denise and company. As usual, even though all Fongs came from three different directions at three different times, they all arrived in the Antioch Water Park Parking lot within minutes of each other. All had a nice time at the waterpark where there were slides, fountains, pools, and waterfalls for all different ages to enjoy. As always seems to be the case, Jamie had no problem going down the waterslides all day until he got onto Duck's double raft going down the slide and it tipped over. Duck's rafts always seems to have tipping problems. The Antioch Water Park rafts were no exception. The day at Antioch Water Park concluded Fong Camp 99. It was an excellent week for all. The campers all had a great time and want to go back to Fong Camp 2000 next year.

Special thanks to the following sponsers:

Rita and Curtis Fong - Saturday morning breakfast and "s'mores."
Mira and Russell Nakano - Pizza and Movie Night
Paula and Douglas Fong - Fong Camp 99 T Shirt Workshop
Lisa and Randy Fong - Transportation and Campfire services

See you at Fong Camp 2000!
